HEATSICK (GER) is the solo moniker of Berlin-based performer/musician Steven Warwick, also known as one half of the duo Birds of Delay. Heatsick (pictured) uses various instruments including voice, keyboard and percussion to create saturated washes of tone, floating and disintegrating entropic loops, focused on repetition as a means of creating abstraction. The music references Musique Concrete and Psychedelia, through to the early Chicago House mix tapes, creating a unique and compelling sound. In addition Steven Warwick has a long history in printed matter and zine-making the back catalogue of which will be on exhibition throughout the Batroun projects music book fair. check him out here

AL MARMOOT Hatem Imam & Omar Khouri are the creative masterminds behind Lebanese comics publication Al Samandal. Much to our delight, they also happen to possess a musical partnership that goes under the delightful name of ‘Al Marmoot’. listen to them online here

VIALKA are a peripatetic pare from France. They make exultant music with drums and guitar that flits across musical borders, channeling desert blues, Chinese folk songs, scatter rock and European gypsy song dynamics. Their hard hitting poly-rhythms, yelps and howls make for a danceable and intoxicating brew. We are very excited to welcome them to Lebanon for the first time!
